Lingnan University and Sun Yat-sen University Institute of Advanced Studies Hong Kong Advance Joint “Antibody Immunity + AI” Innovation Platform, Marking a New Phase of Interdisciplinary Collaboration
On the morning of February 6, 2026, Sun Yat-sen University Institute of Advanced Studies Hong Kong (SYSUIASHK) held a dedicated coordination meeting with Lingnan University to advance preparations for the joint development of an “Antibody Immunity + AI” innovation platform.
Professor Yao Xin, Vice President of Lingnan University, led a delegation to visit the Institute. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on project preparation details and implementation pathways, reached broad consensus, and clarified the next steps for advancing the initiative. Representatives from Lingnan University, SinoMab BioScience Limited, Canton Biologics Co., Ltd., and SYSUIASHK attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Professor Xu Anlong, Dean of SYSUIASHK, outlined the overall vision of the project, including its positioning, objectives, key innovations, and application strategy, providing clear direction for the next phase of development. Participants focused on core aspects such as research strengths, research scope, technical pathways, multi-party collaboration mechanisms, and commercialization strategies. Through comprehensive discussions, both sides further consolidated consensus, identified key tasks, finalized timelines, and established a regular coordination mechanism to ensure efficient and orderly progress in the project application process.

The meeting concluded with a clear plan for the next phase. Both sides will accelerate the preparation of core materials in line with the requirements for establishing the innovation platform, develop a detailed project proposal, and carry out all preparatory work for project submission to a high standard.
The collaboration aims to drive breakthrough progress in frontier interdisciplinary research at the intersection of biomedicine and artificial intelligence, and to jointly contribute to Hong Kong’s development as an international innovation and technology hub.
